Interdependence

Interdependence refers to a state or condition in which two or more entities or individuals rely on each other for mutual support, cooperation, and shared benefits. It is the opposite of independence, highlighting the interconnectedness and interrelationships between different elements.

Interdependence recognizes that no entity or individual exists in isolation and that our lives and well-being are interconnected with others. It emphasizes the idea that collaboration, cooperation, and mutually beneficial interactions are essential for the functioning and success of the whole.

Interdependence and unity are closely connected concepts, and they often go hand in hand. Interdependence recognizes the interconnectedness and mutual reliance between individuals, groups, or elements, while unity refers to a state of being united or joined together. When there is a sense of interdependence among individuals or groups, it can foster and strengthen unity.

Interdependence and Unity are the themes explored in this open edition release by Larry "Poncho" Brown which depicts a group of African Americans of different genders, backgrounds, and skin colors. It represents how we all rely on each other, are connected to each other, and need each other in order to move forward as a people and community of color.
